Jonathan started his career in the film industry as a child actor. That was short lived when he realized the people working behind the camera had the more interesting jobs. Working with lights seemed more exciting! Now that he was ready to shoot and direct at the ripe old age of 12, Jonathan was urged to get to USC Film School to study motion picture production.

He made his way to USC Film School first taking film classes at Pasadena City College. While at PCC, Jonathan discovered a knack for camera work that crystallized at USC. In film school, he shot, or helped shoot, over 50 student projects. Jonathan shot his first music video, his first professional job as a Cinematographer, while still at USC.

By the time he was 25, Jonathan had shot his first and second feature. In the summer of 2003, he joined the crew of the CBS reality show "Big Brother" and is currently the head of the camera department there. Two shorts he lensed, "The Package" and "The Falling Man", both debuted at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival. His last feature, "Shadow Puppets", debuted in Europe at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival and saw a small theatrical release in the U.S.

Between independent feature or short subject films, and reality programing for cable or network television, Jonathan has continued to stay busy and focused on creating images that are moving, exciting, and tell powerful stories.

"I love my job. I think I have the coolest job in the world. I once read a quote that went something like, 'If you love your job, you never work a day in your life.' That's how I feel every time I'm on set!"
